The Development Bureau stated that as of March 31 this year, a total of approximately $164 million has been approved as a funding ceiling for non-governmental organizations to implement projects on 16 vacant government land.

Among the 16 vacant government land projects, 3 are transitional housing projects. St. James' Settlement initially applied for a grant of 60 million yuan, and finally received 1.3 million yuan in the first phase.

The agency is now appointing a consulting company to carry out the detailed design of the landscape and lighting and appointing a contractor to conduct site surveys.

In addition, at the "Kuan Wen School" in Chuan Longqian, Tsuen Wan, the Hong Kong Photography Culture Association applied to be converted into a photography resource center to promote photography and visual arts.

The organization initially applied for funding of 18 million yuan, and finally approved 3 million yuan.

The former "Camys School", which was rated as a Grade II historical building, was applied by the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre to be a drama education center.
