The Palestinian Presidency affirmed its rejection of the Israeli occupation plan to establish more than 2,500 settlement units in occupied Jerusalem, stressing that it is a flagrant violation of all international legitimacy resolutions.
Presidential Spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh explained, according to what Ma'an News Agency reported today, that the occupation's announcement of the establishment of 2540 settlement units in the occupied city of Jerusalem violates all international legitimacy decisions, especially Resolution 2334, which affirms the illegality of settlement in the occupied Palestinian territories and undermines any opportunity to establish a state. Abu Rudeineh called on the international community and the International Criminal Court to put pressure on the occupation to stop its crimes and settlement plans, and to take practical steps and concrete measures to hold its officials accountable.
