The poets of Homs and Hama celebrate the day of eloquent poetry in the Greek Orthodox Diocese

Patriotic, flirtatious and sentimental poems by poets from Homs and Hama that colored the evening “Eloquent Poetry Day” hosted by the archaeological hall in the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Old Homs as part of the activities of the Ornina Cultural Forum.

The evening poet Muawiya Koujan started the evening with two sentimental poems “Walk” and “The Morning Tempt me”. He also called his poem “Come we love life” to wash away worries, sow smiles and wipe out sadness from the details of our lives.

The poet Abdul-Jabbar recited a drum of short emotional poems bearing the titles “Questions” about where “two hearts tremble” go.

Poet Sawsan Wanous recalled with her poem “One Night” the tragedy of her swirling village, in which the terrorists of “ISIS” suffered destruction and sabotage. She also recited two flirtatious poems, “The Wave of Departure” and “Lullak”, calling for the beloved to put away the worries of her heart and prose the spectrum of love, hoping that she would forget her pains and relieve her misery.

The poet Dr. Firas Kattan described the ambiguity of the black color with his poem “Outside the Rhythm of Colors” as the shadow of all the colors smelling of the secret, the taste of the unseen and the voice of the najwa, then he read the sentimental “I”, taking in it poetry as the compass of the migrant and the extent as if it were a drop of water and a sun thread blooming in the train of the soul.

The poet Mahmoud Al-Khader concluded the evening with a poem "The Legend of Picaros", inspired by the mythical Greek heritage, to present the truth that reality crushes those who surrender to their emotions, while his poem "revealing the soul" overflows with feelings of love and nostalgia for a beloved who went to him with her magic, flaunted her eyes and provoked his poems, which overflowed her poetry.

The evening attended popular, cultural and religious events.
