The works of the third session of the International Conference on Digital Transformation will be launched tomorrow under the title “Syria and Digital Transformation ... Opportunities and Challenges” with the participation of a number of economic and social activities from Arab and foreign countries at the Conference Palace in Damascus.

The conference, which will last until the 11th of this month, aims to build opportunities for investment and success, identify obstacles to implementation and mechanisms to overcome them, review the problems and obstacles of the host country in the field of digital transformation, in addition to attracting experts implemented and supervising digital transformation in the best electronic governments to benefit from their expertise and experiences through interactive lectures that will be held. Within the conference activities.

In a statement to SANA, Assistant Minister of Communications and Technology, Eng. Fadia Suleiman, indicated that the conference is a scientific, professional and periodic forum that brings together researchers and experts in the field of digital transformation with decision-makers and investors and works to consolidate international work to achieve success in the digital transformation of countries and to shed light on the latest developments in the field of technology. .

Soliman indicated that the conference includes several axes for discussion and dialogue, including digital transformation in Syria and the imperative of implementation between opportunities and challenges, the strategy of digital transformation in Syria, reality, prospects and digital transformation in the Arab region, policies, indicators, digital economy, risks of the shadow economy, information security and its importance related to digital transformation and blockchain technology. And electronic payment as a cornerstone of digital transformation and digital economy technologies, and their role in sustainable development and e-commerce and their impact on the economy and the partnership between the public and private sectors.

According to Suleiman, experts from the Arab region and foreigners, executive directors and business councils, in addition to research bodies and centers, will participate in the conference, and it includes a scientific committee composed of the best academics and specialists in the field of digital and economic transformation and the law characterized by diversity and comprehensiveness of all disciplines concerned with achieving digital transformation with the aim of activating scientific cooperation and seeking to develop the development reality In concerted efforts and participation to ensure the sobriety of the conference outcomes and recommendations.

The first session of the International Conference on Digital Transformation was held in the UAE in 2017 and the second in Egypt in 2018.
