UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Friday called on all Beninese parties to ensure that the presidential poll on Sunday
"takes place in a transparent, credible and peaceful manner"
in Benin, where two people were killed during event.
"The Secretary General urges political leaders, political parties and their supporters to resolve any dispute that may arise from the electoral process through peaceful dialogue and legal means,"
added his services in a statement.

adds the text.
A second person died on Friday, the day after demonstrators dispersed with live ammunition in central Benin, authorities said.
Demonstrations have been organized in recent days in Benin against President Patrice Talon, candidate for his succession and accused by the opposition of having confiscated the ballot and of having prevented him from participating thanks to a new electoral code and a institutional reform.
