CSU calls for a subsidy for photovoltaic systems

2021-04-09T08:22:31.834Z

When private homeowners buy a photovoltaic system, the community should support them financially. At least that's what the CSU would like. She can imagine a 500 euro grant per roof system and would provide a total of 5000 euros in the funding pot.

When private homeowners buy a photovoltaic system, the community should support them financially.

At least that's what the CSU would like.

She can imagine a 500 euro grant per roof system and would provide a total of 5000 euros in the funding pot.

Schöngeising - Anton Schmölzl (CSU) referred to the neighboring municipality of Landsberied during the budget discussions in the finance committee.

This even pays 1,500 euros in funding - from a pot that contains 15,000 euros for a period of two years.

In view of Schöngeising's tense financial situation, it doesn't have to be that much, but an incentive to use renewable energies is appropriate.

Opposition came from several quarters.

With such a measure, a small group of people would be preferred, objected Gerhard Gauck (SPD).

“That is socially unjust.” Treasurer Kerstin Pentenrieder urgently advised against straining the budget with further expenditure items - especially since it had only just been possible to convert a six-figure deficit in the administrative budget into a small surplus of almost 3,000 euros through cuts and cuts.

Road renovations, among other things, will be postponed for this.

Mayor Thomas Totzauer (FW) was "rather against" promoting private PV systems.

Community house?

Schmölzl received support from Barbara Lackermeier (Greens).

She would prefer the community to support climate-friendly measures and repair the roads than “build a house that we cannot afford”.

What was meant was the planned community house, which will consume the community's reserves and require borrowing.

Lackermeier argued that the community center was also socially unjust because it would only benefit a limited group of people.

"When I look at the usage concept, it becomes more of a club house."

The decision on the CSU proposal lies with the local council.

It is expected to meet them in the next meeting, when the budget decision is due.

No major compromises are planned for the voluntary services for clubs.

Here, however, the community is involuntarily saving due to the pandemic.

In 2020, only a third of the usual amount had to be paid out.

This year too, fewer grant applications are likely to be received.

The cultural association, for example, voluntarily waives funding because no events are possible.

With a dissenting vote, the finance committee finally passed the recommendation to the municipal council to approve the budget in its present form.
