Easter holidays and confinement: what are the authorized trips?

Faced with the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Easter holidays are turned upside down by the restrictive measures in force. Update on authorized travel.

However, travel without distance limit is authorized for business travel, taking an exam or a competition as well as moving.

During the Easter holidays, outings and trips without derogatory certificates remain prohibited from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., under penalty of a fine of 135 euros.

  • Travel abroad is limited

French people living abroad have the possibility of re-entering the country, as well as cross-border workers.

However, any entry into France and any exit to or from a country outside the European Union is prohibited, unless there is a compelling reason.
