Today, the German government classified Turkey as a high risk region due to the high numbers of Coronavirus cases in it.

Die Welt newspaper quoted the German Foreign Ministry as saying that "the number of daily infections in Corona in Turkey exceeded the threshold of 200 cases per 100,000 within seven days," so it was classified as a high-risk area as of next Sunday.

Yesterday, Turkey announced the registration of 55,941 new infections and 258 deaths from the Coronavirus during the past 24 hours, at the highest level of infections since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country.

The ministry pointed out that among the new countries also on the list are Croatia, Ukraine and Armenia.

Germany had classified the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Poland and France as high-risk areas due to the high numbers of Coronavirus cases in them.
