The high school student died in the early evening, said Laïthidine Ben Saïd, mayor of his commune.

Her alleged attacker has been apprehended.

As soon as the family and residents of Mtsamboro, Miki village, learned of his state of health, roadblocks were erected in the locality.

A crisis meeting took place during the day to try to calm the anger of the inhabitants, in the presence of the mayor of the town, elected officials from neighboring towns, officials of the gendarmerie, the secretary general of the prefecture and the rector of Mayotte, Gilles Halbout.

The parents of the students called in particular for the repair of the fence, the reinforcement of the security personnel and psychological support.

These attacks are common in Mayotte, despite the presence of gendarmes, police or security teams.

In 2018, it was following the incursion of about fifty young people at the Eiffel high school in Kahani that the Mahorais took to the streets to demonstrate against insecurity.

The movement had lasted three months, completely paralyzing this island in the Indian Ocean which has just celebrated the 10th anniversary of its accession to the status of a department.
