Detective Inspector Chuang Tak-him of the Anti-Triad Action Team of the Yau Tsim Police District explained the case. From February to March this year, the police received reports stating that there were ground shops and private residential units in Yau Ma Tei and Mong Kok respectively. , Cash, handbags, watches and cameras were stolen. Among them, the victim lost nearly 200,000 yuan of property, including cash, famous watches and handbags.
After investigation by the Criminal Division of the Yau Tsim Police District, it is believed that it was a burglary suspect who was active in Yau Tsim and Mong Kok districts.
Yesterday (8th) the Yau Tsim Police District Anti-Triad Action Team carried out an ambush in Mong Kok and successfully arrested a target man outside a residential building on Sai Yeung Choi Street South and found a large number of burglary tools in his backpack, including Plumbing pliers, lily spoons, screwdrivers, etc.
Investigations revealed that the man had burgled a residential unit in the building just before his arrest.
The arrested 51-year-old man surnamed Wang reported that he was unemployed. The police recovered two women's handbags from his residence. The arrested man is still being detained for investigation.
Zhuang Deqian pointed out that some of the lost items in the case have not been recovered, including handbags and watches. It is believed that the suspect has personally resold the stolen goods through different channels for profit.
