Racing cyclist (45) hits Seat

A 45-year-old racing cyclist was injured in a traffic accident in Schliersee on Friday afternoon.

An ambulance took them to the hospital.

- According to the police, a 45-year-old from Feldkirchen-Westerham drove her racing bike down Miesbacher Strasse in Schliersee towards Hausham at around 2 p.m.

The roadway was narrowed at the end of Schliersee due to construction work.

A 53-year-old from Hausham driving in front of her had to brake with his Seat due to traffic.

The 45-year-old apparently overlooked this and opened the back.

Her head hit the rear of the Seat.

Although the Feldkirchen-Westerhamerin wore a crash helmet, she was injured with moderate severity and had to be taken to hospital as a precaution.

According to initial estimates, the racing bike was damaged by 500 euros, the repair of the Seat will cost around 1000 euros.
