A recent study conducted by researchers from the University of Edinburgh in Britain revealed that ultraviolet rays resulting from exposure to the sun can release a chemical substance on the skin that prevents the spread of the emerging corona virus.

According to the British newspaper "Daily Mail", the researchers confirmed that sunny places witnessed about a third of fewer deaths due to the Corona virus, indicating that exposure to ultraviolet rays causes the skin to release chemicals that prevent its spread.

The researchers compared corona deaths recorded with ultraviolet radiation levels across 2,474 counties in the United States of America between January and April of last year, and found that people who lived in areas with the highest level of exposure to sunlight, which accounted for 95 percent, had a lower risk of death as the rates decreased. Death from Corona is 32 percent for counties with the highest average daily UVB.

The researchers explained that this was repeated in Britain and Italy with the same results that were published in the British Journal of Dermatology.
