The European Medicines Authority announced today that it will re-evaluate the use of the American vaccine against the Corona virus, Johnson & Johnson, after reports that it recently caused blood clots.
The British Daily Telegraph newspaper quoted the authority as saying today that "three cases were recorded in the United States and the fourth during clinical trials at an unspecified location."
The European Commission has approved the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, and it is scheduled to start administering it in European Union countries this April.
It is noteworthy that the United States has temporarily closed three Corona virus vaccination centers in North Carolina due to the discovery of side effects in 26 people after using the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
On the other hand, the authority said that it is investigating the possibility of links between the AstraZeneca vaccine against the Corona virus and a blood vessel disorder, after it considered this week that there is a possible link between the vaccine and stroke.
She added that she is studying five cases of capillary leakage syndrome, which "is characterized by fluid leakage from the blood vessels, causing tissue swelling and low blood pressure."
