Vaccination day at the Neufahrn social station is well received: 100 volunteers use the on-site service

The Neufahrn social station recently offered a special service: the nursing staff organized a vaccination day.

- hygiene concepts, tests and the greatest caution: These measures have long been part of everyday life for the employees of the Neufahrn social station.

But now a very special service was added, which for one day turned the otherwise regulated processes of the ward upside down: The nursing staff organized a vaccination day in the rooms of the social station on Fürholzer Weg.

Tremendous response

First of all, patients and visitors from all areas of the ward were addressed, as well as employees of the SenTa day care center for the elderly.

Priorities 1 and 2 and two of their close contacts were allowed to be vaccinated.

The response was enormous: around 100 people willing to be vaccinated registered for the day.

The extraordinary action began at 9 in the morning and ended around 4 p.m.

Three teams from the Medical Care Center MVZ came especially to carry out the vaccinations on site.

The SenTa employees registered and entered the vaccination register.

Each of those invited had a detailed consultation with a doctor before the vaccination took place.

"As a socially oriented institution, it is very important to us to do everything we can to ensure that the seniors we care for can get their vaccinations easily and without complications," explained Martin Ehrhardt and Mathias Streit, heads of SenTa and the outpatient service .

"We are just grateful" and "I am very happy that I was able to get vaccinated here", were two of the statements made by visitors to the vaccination day in the social station.

Because of the great response, consideration is being given to carrying out another vaccination day for the customers of the social station.
