With the participation of Arab and foreign economic and scientific activities, the works of the third session of the International Conference on Digital Transformation began today at the Conference Palace in Damascus under the title “Syria and Digital Transformation .. Opportunities and Challenges”.
The conference, organized by the Arab Federation for E-Commerce in cooperation with the Arab Group for Exhibitions and Conferences, and will continue until the 11th of this month, includes a scientific committee composed of academics and specialists in the field of digital, economic and legal transformation.
The activities of the conference will be attended by experts from the Arab region and foreigners, executive directors, business councils, organizations and research centers from the countries of “Egypt, the Emirates, Oman, Tunisia, Algeria, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Yemen, Bahrain, Russia, Austria, Greece, India and Switzerland,” in addition to the Syrian governmental and private agencies concerned with digital transformation.
During the conference sessions, the participants will discuss several axes related to “digital transformation in Syria, its strategy, the role of its technologies in sustainable development, the imperative of application between opportunities, challenges, policies and indicators for digital transformation in the Arab region, the dangers of the shadow economy, information security, blockchain technology, electronic payment and e-commerce and its impact on the economy.” Participation between the public and private sectors, in addition to the axes of monetary and banking policy in light of digital transformation, the extent of the availability of the dimensions of this field’s culture in the Syrian organizations and the indicators of the telecommunications sector in Syria ”.
The International Conference on Digital Transformation is a scientific, professional and periodic forum that brings together researchers and experts with decision-makers and investors and works to consolidate international work to achieve success in the digital transformation of countries, and to shed light on the latest developments in the field of technology.
It is worth noting that the first session of the International Conference on Digital Transformation was held in the UAE in 2017 and the second in Egypt in 2018.
