Egypt has decided to temporarily suspend talks to normalize relations with Turkey.

This is reported by the Al-Arabiya network.

According to the report, the decision also includes the cessation of security coordination talks between Cairo and Ankara.

Reason for termination of talks: Egypt demands rapid implementation of its demands, including the withdrawal of its mortgage mercenaries from West Libya.

As you may recall, inquiries from Ankara to Jerusalem over the issue of returning the Turkish ambassador to Tel Aviv have so far also been answered with an Israeli cold shoulder.

In general, Libya occupies a central place in the talks between Cairo and Ankara.

The Turks demanded the removal of military advisers and fighters from the divided African country, while Egypt demanded immediate and unconditional withdrawal from Turkey from Libya.

For President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, this is not a simple situation, since about a month ago he and his government began working to restrict the activities of the Muslim Brotherhood in the country.

They demanded that the channel of the movement, which broadcasts from Istanbul, Al-Sharq, Watan and Kamlin, stop criticizing Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and his government.

According to Al-Arabiya, Turkey has pledged to take further steps before the end of the month of Ramadan - but Egypt has demanded immediate action.

Beyond that, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevloth Chebushalou even stated that his country is interested in a maritime border agreement with Egypt, and that "I see no reason why this should not happen."

However, according to al-Arabiya, for al-Sisi and his men, the same actions are far from enough.

They demand much more significant steps, including the extradition of Yahya Musa and Alaa al-Samahi - two senior members of the Muslim Brotherhood.

On the other hand, Ankara asked Cairo to take gradual steps in two stages - which led to the cessation of talks.

As part of the Egyptian move, they have so far refused Ankara's request to hold an official meeting in Cairo before the end of April, and have also stressed to the Turks the importance of withdrawing Turkish military forces from Arab countries.

Meanwhile, an action that the Turks have already implemented is to suspend the granting of Turkish citizenship to some senior members of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Meanwhile, a country in the eastern Mediterranean whose tensions between Turkey have not diminished recently is Greece.

Israel's ally in the area.

Last night (Friday), the head of the Turkish government's spokesman, Fahrtin Elton, attacked Athens in a Twitter tweet in which he accused them of providing shelter to terrorists.

"They are hosting the Kurdish underground (PKK)," Elton tweeted, adding that "from a so-called refugee camp within EU territory - the terrorists are planning attacks (including suicide bombings) against Turkey, a NATO ally."

"Turkey's support for the Muslim Brotherhood has two main roots. The first is ideological, and the second is the coordination required for them with Qatar," Dr. Chai Eitan Cohen Inrojek, a modern Turkish researcher at the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security, told Israel Today. And at the Moshe Dayan Center at Tel Aviv University.

"Qatar and Turkey are known as the two countries that support the Muslim Brotherhood. At the same time, Turkey needs Qatar economically, so it cannot make an independent decision without Qatar. Ideologically, Erdogan is shocked by the admirals' letter - and he emphasizes the culture of military coups. "He will take steps against the Muslim Brotherhood, so it will appear that inside Turkey he will be said to be taking steps against the culture of military coups, but outside the country he is normalizing relations with al-Sisi-led Egypt.
