Engineer Hussein Arnous, Prime Minister confirmed that the government is making continuous efforts to improve the service and development situation in Aleppo Governorate through implementing a package of projects that will positively reflect on the citizen's standard of living.
During his meeting with service, social and economic activities and members of the People's Assembly in the city of Aleppo, Eng. Arnous drew attention to the most important projects that are being implemented in the province, which are the rehabilitation and repair of the first and fifth groups in the thermal station, worth 500 billion Syrian pounds to generate 400 megabytes, and the project to establish a photovoltaic station in the industrial city of Sheikh Najjar. It has a capacity of 33 MB and a value of 160 billion Syrian pounds.
Eng. Arnous called for investment in alternative and clean energy through the participation of the private sector to benefit from the facilities provided, pointing to the efforts made to solve the problem of oil derivatives by the end of the current week, stressing that government support is continuing to deliver it to the broad segments of society, especially with regard to foodstuffs, in addition to working to secure Production requirements for farmers and continuing to implement projects to rehabilitate the agricultural irrigation system in the eastern countryside of the governorate.
Eng. Arnous instructed the Ministry of Electricity to publish a daily program that shows what each governorate receives from the amount of electricity allocated to it, indicating that work is continuing to increase the services provided through electronic payment and the new Consumer Protection Law will soon be issued, which increases penalties for violators and price manipulators.
The engineer, Arnous, listened to the audience's interventions, which focused on the demand to increase Aleppo’s share of the electrical supply, separate the allocated amount of electricity from the industrial city of Sheikh Najjar, secure water for the eastern and southern countryside, reactivate the thirsty villages ’contracts, increase the amount of flour for the ovens, and pay attention to improving the bread industry, completing the distribution of diesel fuel to the people and delivering Agricultural diesel for the countryside, distributing it to farmers, maintaining agricultural roads, rehabilitating the Aleppo-Azaz road in the Lyramoun-Deir Jamal area, paying compensation to citizens whose homes and properties were damaged by terrorism, increasing the amount of cement sent to Omran Foundation, and opening examination centers for the secondary certificate in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.
The participants also demanded the opening of courts of cassation, work to control prices in the market, address the transportation crisis, and increase the number of integration centers in the countryside.
The meeting was attended by Eng. Suhail Abdul Latif, Minister of Public Works and Housing, Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Engineer Hussein Makhlouf, Minister of Industry Ziad Sabbagh, Governor of Aleppo Hussein Diab, and Secretary of the Aleppo branch of the party Ahmed Mansour.
