A collection of science fiction stories by the pioneer of this literary genre in the world, the British writer George Wells, chosen by the Syrian General Authority for Books to be among its publications in the science fiction series.
The commission has selected two stories by Wells, the Miracle Maker and The Valley of the Spiders, translated by Maha Asaad Mirza.
The two stories provided a model for Welsh literature, which was known as the predictor of modern scientific inventions and whose literary imagination was ahead of its time.
In the story of the miracle worker, the author of the novel The Time Machine leans on the world of magic and imagination that beloves children to make the characters of his story move within him in an interesting and interesting framework.
As for the story of The Valley of the Spiders, Wells worked to develop the aesthetic sense, artistic taste and knowledge of the reader by inciting the memory and research in a logical and scientific manner on innovation, creativity and a taste for words, sentences, images and scenes.
It is noteworthy that the writer Wells, born in England in 1866, studied biology, and his novel The Time Machine was his starting point in the world of literature, as he was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature four times .. One of his most important works is War of the Worlds, the star diamond maker.
As for the translator, Maha Asaad Mirza is a faculty member in the Department of English at the University of Aleppo, specializing in translating many stories, scientific articles and a number of Arabic novels into English.
