The Oberdinger triple party

Six days of party with a lot of program: What used to be a matter of course for well-established clubs, has made Corona a tremendous game.

14 months would still be time for the virus to run away if it does not want to ruin the "3 x 150 years" celebration in Oberding.

It will take place in June 2022.

Oberding “In spite of the pandemic, we are still hopeful that we will be able to hold our 150th anniversary celebration of three Oberding associations without major restrictions,” says local council and festival committee chairman Johannes Sandtner.

“As an encouragement for the citizens” he has already sent the preliminary program to our newspaper.

In 1872, the volunteer fire brigade, the Eustachia shooting society and the warrior and soldier comradeship were founded in Oberding.

So there are three reasons to celebrate next year.

The festival week is to take place during the Whitsun holidays from Wednesday 15th to Monday 20th June.

The celebration takes place in a marquee on the school sports field near the TCO tennis facility.

A commemorative publication is specially created that illuminates the town around 1872.

The three associations are planning a joint sponsorship request.

The start on Wednesday, June 15, is a wine festival with a live band and a bar.

The next day there is a Corpus Christi procession followed by a veal sausage meal and lunch during the festive season.

Afterwards there will be a family afternoon with pony rides and face painting as well as a market with regional products.

The day ends with a festive evening with beer tapping, speeches, honors, music and a bar.

On Friday the senior afternoon as well as in the evening a performance by the "Brettl-Spitzen" known from the BR with folk singers, music cabaret and humorous interludes on the agenda.

Before the event “Rock im Moos” provides a party on Saturday evening, the district fire department day takes place in the morning.

On Sunday there will be a festival service, lunch, parade and the end of the festival with music.

The BBV's district farmers' day concludes on Monday evening.

A festival GbR was founded last year for the celebrations, and the 13-member festival committee has been in existence since 2019.
