The Third International Conference on Digital Transformation continues its work for the second day at the Conference Palace in Damascus, which is being held under the title (Syria and Digital Transformation: Opportunities and Challenges) with the participation of Arab and foreign economic and scientific activities.

Over the course of three sessions, the participants will discuss several axes on the transformation towards a digital economy between reality, challenges and open data and their economic and social implications, leading the strategic digital transformation and electronic payment as a cornerstone of transformation, monetary and banking policy, the availability of dimensions of the culture of digital transformation in Syrian organizations and electronic commerce and its role in supporting the national economy And indicators of the telecommunications sector in Syria.

In a statement to SANA between the Minister of Communications and Technology, Engineer Iyad Al-Khatib, that the conference participants will discuss on the second day issues related to digital transformation and similar experiences in neighboring countries, and discuss the best payment experiences and its role in supporting tax revenues and limiting the liquidity crisis and cash hoarding.

Minister Al-Khatib considered that the conference’s work on the first day was distinguished and rich in participation and guests, and everyone was eager to provide the best and reach the recommendations and proposals that will be issued by the lecturers.

The activities of the second day also include an exhibition by the Excellence and Creativity Authority entitled (Inventors and Distinguished People from Syria ... Locally and Globally).

The conference, organized by the Arab Federation for E-Commerce in cooperation with the Arab Group for Exhibitions and Conferences, and will continue until tomorrow, includes a scientific committee composed of academics and specialists in the field of digital, economic and legal transformation.

The activities of the conference will be attended by experts from the Arab region and foreigners, executive directors, business councils, organizations and research centers from the countries of Egypt, the Emirates, Oman, Tunisia, Algeria, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Yemen, Bahrain, Russia, Austria, Greece, India and Switzerland, in addition to the Syrian governmental and private agencies concerned with digital transformation.

It is noteworthy that the first session of the International Conference on Digital Transformation was held in the UAE in 2017 and the second in Egypt in 2018.
