Sweida - Sana
The quantities of the apple crop that the Syrian Foundation for Trade branch in As-Suwayda received from farmers amounted to about 200 tons.
The director of the corporation’s branch, Asif Haider, said in a statement to the SANA reporter that the marketing of the production took place within the halls of the corporation’s branch in the governorate and the corporation’s branches in the rest of the other governorates over a period of five months.
Haidar pointed out that the marketing of apples coincided during the last period with importing quantities of citrus fruits from the Lattakia governorate and placing them in the vegetable and fruits hall in the city of Sweida and in mobile cars in a number of areas.
The branch of the Syrian Trade Corporation spent the entire price of apples received from farmers, which amounted to 64 million and 500 thousand pounds.
