Today, the Indian Ministry of Health announced the registration of a new record for Coronavirus infections, with the detection of 152,879 new infections, as the second wave of the virus continued to escalate and hospitals were unable to absorb patients in parts of the country.
In its latest data, the Ministry indicated that the total number of injuries reached 13 million and 358,805 injuries, while the total deaths reached 169,305 cases, after 839 additional deaths were recorded, the largest number in more than five months.
India ranks third in the world in terms of the number of coronavirus infections, after the United States and Brazil.
In Germany, the Robert Koch Institute for Infectious Diseases announced the registration of 17,855 infections and 104 new deaths with the virus during the past 24 hours.
This brought the total number of infections in Germany since the start of the pandemic to two million and 998,268, while the deaths reached 78,353 cases.
