King Abdullah of Jordan and former heir to the throne, Prince Hamza, appeared together in public today (Sunday), for the first time since the outbreak of the palace crisis last Saturday.
The king and his half-brother laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, at an event marking the 100th anniversary of the kingdom's independence, in which other royalty participated.
The joint event may herald the end of the unprecedented crisis at the palace, a week after it erupted and shook Jordan's stable image.
