The former governor of Santa Fe and current provincial deputy Miguel Lifschitz announced on Twitter that

he tested positive

for coronavirus, after feeling discomfort that alerted him to be tested

.

"Yesterday I started with

some symptoms

and today I took the Covid-19 test and it tested positive.

I'm fine in general

. For a few days I will be isolated," he wrote on his official account of that social network at 17:32 on Sunday.

Last Friday, Lifschitz had been

meeting virtually

"with teachers who were arbitrarily and illegally removed from the positions that they titled through contests," as he had published on the same social network.

Yesterday I started with some symptoms and today I took the Covid19 test and it came back positive.

I'm fine in general.

For a few days I will be isolated.

"It is a dangerous precedent: it puts any state worker within the shot of the government of the day. We encourage them to continue the fight because reason assists them," he continued in that sense.

Lifschitz is 65 years old, a civil engineer and a member of the Socialist Party.

He is the current president of the Santa Fe Chamber of Deputies.

He was governor of Santa Fe during the period 2015-2019 and before that he had served as mayor of Rosario for two terms (2003-2007 and 2007-2011).

Immediately, his tweet was answered by socialist militants and from the political arc in general, with wishes for a

speedy recovery

and encouragement.
