Over the past year, most countries in the world have been closed, very few tourists have continued to travel and they, too, have done so in closed, closed countries and with very many restrictions.

Now, vaccines are changing the picture, and Israelis are so eager to return and fly abroad that they are willing to give up expensive things like true love or promotion and success in the workplace.

In a survey conducted by Booking, which included 28,000 participants from all over the world, of whom about a thousand Israelis, interesting data emerge.

74% of Israelis say that traveling is more important to them now than before the outbreak of the plague (64% among travelers around the world).

So much so that almost three-quarters of them (71% among Israelis and global travelers) have even gone so far as to say they would rather go on vacation in 2021 than find true love.

There were also those who testified that they would rather travel than succeed at work, and for them they would even choose to go on vacation rather than get a promotion in the workplace (67% Israelis and 66% globally).

More than half of Israeli (52%) and global (53%) travelers took advantage of the free time they had at home to plan future trips.

About half of them (Israelis - 49% and global - 45%) also received additional vacation days during this time, which they are eager to take advantage of for a longer vacation in 2021.

While dreaming of their next vacation, three-quarters of Israelis (76%) and about six out of ten (61%) of global travelers are confident they will be able to get a vacation that will take them to a beach destination during the summer of 2021. 17% of Israelis say a relaxing beach vacation or spa trip Will be the first types of vacation they will choose when it is safe to travel the world again (23% among global travelers).

Also, after such an exhausting year, 13% of Israelis said they would choose an urban vacation in the city and only 7% said they would book themselves an active vacation.

Among travelers around the world only 6% would book an active trip and even fewer (5%) said that a vacation in the city is better for them.

Vaccines revitalize the tourism industry

Travelers express great confidence in vaccines, with about two-thirds of Israelis (65%) and more than half of the world's travelers (59%) indicating that they will not travel around the world until they are vaccinated.

This figure rises to 83% among Israelis aged 55 and over, and to 68% among those of the same age in the world, while 61% of Israelis and 55% of global travelers testified that they would travel only to countries that have implemented population vaccination programs.

At the same time, it seems that there is still a feeling of some hesitation because close to a third of Israelis (32%) are still unsure whether the vaccine will really ensure that it will indeed be possible to travel more safely.

Travelers around the world are slightly more pessimistic with 41% reporting that they question the vaccine's ability to provide travel security.

Nir Mazor, VP of Marketing for Aviation Relations, commented on the interesting trend: “Search data continues to rise every week in each of the last few weeks by 20-30%.

Most of the searches and bookings are to Greece and the islands with an absolute tendency for June-September, but also Seychelles at the top alongside Dubai in immediate bookings.

A surprising destination that has taken a place at the top of the bookings is Sofia in Bulgaria.

Some of the pilots are enjoying the last days of the excellent snow in Bansko and some are enjoying the Bulgarian capital which is slowly reopening.

The direction is clear and confidence in aviation is on the rise.

Moreover, families with children also make summer bookings out of a decision to return to a routine summer vacation in the most beloved and popular destinations. "

Ziv Rosen, CEO of the Gulliver Group: "In recent weeks, demand abroad has risen significantly. Israelis are making a living again! Georgia, which has abolished the isolation obligation for Israelis, is devouring the cards and its two prominent destinations, Tbilisi and Tommy, are at the top. 150% more in search of flights abroad compared to March.

The UAE, Greece and Cyprus, which do not have an isolation obligation, are also in high demand.
