The president of Ecuador, Lenín Moreno, voted and said that results should be expected, that "no excesses" will be allowed and that there will be an "orderly" and peaceful transition.
The president cast his vote this Sunday at the Colegio Sagrados Corazones de Rumipamba in Quito.
At the end, Moreno sent a message to the nation in which he asked the population to be attentive to the final results and that, as a government, the electoral result will be respected.
