all-inclusive
week
confined to a hotel on the island of Rhodes, we learned on April 12 from the Greek Ministry of Tourism.
The arrival, this Monday in Rhodes, of these nationals of the Netherlands is not a derogation from the containment measures in force because "
they will only be allowed to stay in the hotel and to bathe in the swimming pool
" of the establishment, an official of the Greek ministry told AFP.

Confined since November 7, Greece is just starting to gradually ease restrictions and plans to open the tourist season in mid-May, removing the mandatory seven-day quarantine for all travelers from abroad.

will respect the containment measures in force in the country and will stay for a week in an all-inclusive hotel in Rhodes without having the right to go out,
" added the official of the Ministry of Tourism.

Only Israeli tourists, who are vaccinated, are not subject to these obligations,

In addition to Israelis who are already traveling to Greece under a bilateral agreement, dozens of German tourists arrived a week ago in Heraklion, capital of the island of Crete.

A pilot program
According to these measures, to which Greeks and other residents of Greece are subject, travel is only authorized within the same department, after having been motivated by SMS to the authorities (medical examination, pharmacy, work, physical exercise, funerals etc).
The 200 tourists from the Netherlands are traveling under a pilot program by Dutch operator Sunweb, in cooperation with the Greek and Dutch governments, according to Greek media.
