2021-04-12T19:40:59.520Z

Eleven agents have been diagnosed positive for the coronavirus since Friday evening. Total disinfection of the premises is scheduled for Tuesday morning

Since Friday evening, it is the commotion of the fight at the town hall of Colombes (Hauts-de-Seine).

The Covid-19 has appeared in the premises of the municipal police, just in front of the town hall.

This Monday, April 12 at midday, the number of proven cases rose to eleven.

The service continues to operate, the agents have not exercised their right of withdrawal.

Nevertheless, concern and discontent are growing.

Eight cases of Covid-19 were diagnosed as of Friday.

“The next day we were at eleven… We do have a cluster and the measures taken are not enough.

We warned the prefecture, ”insists the SAI (autonomous and independent union).

Who calls for a total closure of the premises the time to carry out a total disinfection operation.

The union also advances a number, unconfirmed in town hall, of twenty-two contact cases.

In the office of the mayor environmentalist Patrick Chaimovitch, it is said to have "done everything necessary".

The city's Covid referent visited the site on Saturday and the director general of services was there this Monday morning.

"We disinfected the station piece by piece before a massive operation," says a relative of the mayor.

Complete sanitation of the premises, which should last two hours, is therefore scheduled for Tuesday morning.

Premises "too small", according to the unions

The difficulty put forward by the municipality is due to the service concerned, which has around a hundred agents, municipal police officers and public highway surveillance agents combined.

“We were not able to carry out this operation earlier.

We cannot close the PM like that even momentarily… ”, explains Patrick Chaimovitch's office.

In order to limit the risks of recovery and spread, several measures have been put in place within the municipal police.

A rotation of the teams should make it possible to avoid crossing paths.

Closed because of the crisis, the Red Carpet room, which includes a bar, restaurant and performance hall, is reopened.

Located right next to the premises of the municipal police, rue de la Liberté, it has been made available to officers who use it as an annex to the changing rooms.

Ditto in the Petit-Colombes district.

The former municipal police station in Piazza Aragon has also been reopened.

“It will serve as a break room.

The agents who are in this district can go there rather than come to the head office ”, one continues at the cabinet.

Likewise, a quantity of hydroalcoholic gel as well as disinfectant wipes were distributed.

“We take it seriously.

We gave 20,000 category 1 masks to our city officials, says one in town hall.

In addition, surgical masks are distributed daily to municipal police officers and nursery staff.

The appearance of this cluster does not surprise Fabien Golfier, representative of the municipal police at the Autonomous Federation of the Territorial Public Service (FA-FPT), which deplores cases "in all municipal police".

“It's specific to the profession where interactions between agents and with the population are important.

In service vehicles, distancing is impossible, we cross paths in the premises ... "On the side of the CFDT, an" alarming situation "is mentioned.

"The premises are not suitable, are too cramped," said a head of the Colombes territorial section.

There is not enough space, we even have changing rooms located in the basement and therefore not ventilated.

We are on top of each other… ”
