DIP is demanding actual imprisonment for a police officer who attacked an IDF officer and hit him in the face
In April 2017, the officer, who was then 43 years old, punched the young lieutenant after he asked him to take gum out of his mouth, to which he replied that he had "swallowed it".
The court sentenced the policeman to eight months of community service, and the DIP appealed: "He trampled on the values and abused his power."
On the other hand, his defense counsel appealed the severity of the sentence
