In the video: Correspondence between Iranian intelligence agents trying to attract Israelis to meetings abroad (GSS media)
The GSS and the Mossad announced today (Monday) that they have revealed an Iranian attempt to lure Israeli businessmen online to meetings abroad with the aim of harming or kidnapping them.
According to the announcement, Iranian intelligence sources approached Israelis through fake Instagram accounts of so-called businesswomen, and tried to persuade them to meet on various pretexts, business or romantic, in countries that have ties to Israel, including various Arab countries, Turkey, the Gulf, Caucasus, Africa .
According to intelligence agencies, Tehran has also used this pattern of action against Iranian regime opponents living in Europe.
"There is a real fear that this activity by Iranian elements will lead to attempts to harm Israelis or abduct them in the same countries in which the Iranians operate."
