The left is doing badly, no one dares to claim the opposite.
But its drama is less its weakness than its fragmentation.
Let's look at the numbers.
Mélenchon, plus Hidalgo, plus Jadot, plus Fabien Roussel, appointed this Sunday by the Communist Party, this makes a total of 26.5%.
In the 2017 presidency, this same political space was covered by only two candidates, Yannick Jadot having withdrawn in favor of Benoît Hamon and the PC having supported the leader of La France insoumise.
Between them, Mélenchon and Hamon had totaled 25.96% of the vote.
