Now a camera team was visiting the school, a theme week is coming up.
Holzkirchen
- "Even before the Corona crisis, pronounced independent learning was a living practice at the Holzkirchen State Gymnasium.
In the pandemic, the school continues to develop its concepts in a goal-oriented manner in order to lead its students to even more responsibility for their own learning process. ”The description for the German School Prize explains why the young school in the north of the district made it to the final round.
The top 18 schools are currently entering the final sprint in seven categories before the winners will be announced at a ceremony on May 10th.
To this end, a film team recently visited the school for a day, interviewed the school management and the student representative and was out and about in the house.
A week later, the jury examined the groups of the school family in various digital rounds - from the directorate to parents, teachers and student representatives to partners outside of school - reports Director Axel Kisters.
The school is now looking forward to the final assessment of the experts with an external educational perspective and to the scientific commentary by Professor Klaus Konrad from the Center for School Development at the Weingarten University of Education.
And how other schools design modern teaching under these special conditions.
Each of the 18 finalists will be given an assessment of how their concepts could be transferred to other schools.
How the concepts look in detail has been presented every Tuesday since March in the context of digital themed weeks in films and discussions.
On Tuesday, April 20th, from 4.30pm to 6pm, the people of Holzkirchen will be in the spotlight in the “Enable self-organized learning” category with their two competitors, the Alemannenschule Wutöschingen (comprehensive school) and the municipal comprehensive school in Münster-Mitte.
The discussion round is accessible to everyone free of charge after registration at www.deut sches-schulportal.de (section The German School Prize / Theme Weeks) and can be accessed later in the media library.
Deputy headmaster Andreas Lauer will represent the Holzkirchner Gymnasium in the discussion.
