The Homs Chamber of Industry has begun distributing the first 30,000 food baskets by launching the Bread and Salt initiative in cooperation with the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor in the governorate, coinciding with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan, and continuing throughout the holy month.
Labib Brothers, Head of the Homs Chamber of Industry, said in a statement to SANA that the initiative aims to support and assist the people and reach the largest number of them and achieve justice in distribution throughout the governorate in coordination and cooperation with the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor through a number of civil and charitable societies in the governorate to deliver the materials to the people who deserve them. Pointing out that various productive economic activities can join to participate in them and provide all forms of support to the most needy families, especially in light of the high price crisis due to the unjust economic blockade on our country.
The Chamber's head indicated that the first phase of the initiative includes the distribution of 30,000 food baskets, and the number of baskets can reach 50 thousand baskets and include food supplies such as sugar, oil, ghee, rice, lentils and others for the most needy families, in a message to the world proving that the Syrians have always been one hand and one heart in Confronting difficulties and embodying the values of solidarity and social solidarity in its best form.
It is noteworthy that the Homs Chamber of Industry is implementing many humanitarian, development and health initiatives in the governorate, in translation of its role in true partnership and contribution to the social, economic and urban development process in the country.
