As is common on his Instagram account, Horacio Pagani was going to analyze in the last hours of Sunday the presentations of River and Boca of this last date of the Professional League Cup.
But upon learning of the departure of his colleague Mauro Viale, who died on Sunday at the age of 73 due to coronavirus, the journalist changed his plans and, visibly moved, could not help but remember his colleague with an emotional message.
Pagani, with a long career in Clarín, where he is currently a columnist, was struck by the unexpected death of Viale: “The idea was to talk about the Boca and River games, but I found out about the death of Mauro Viale, a friend and a lifelong colleague, ”began the journalist, who also serves as a panelist for El Trece, TyC Sports and Bendita TV.

And, before speaking briefly about River's triumph against Colón and Boca's defeat against Unión, Pagani remarked: "I am deeply sorry. He was an extraordinary journalist. This is all I can say today."
The journalist, who in recent days recovered after being hospitalized by Covid-19, accompanied the post with the following text: "I was going to comment on the lengthening of Boca's bad moment with its defeat against Unión and the swings of River against the Good Colón, who included many substitutes and played with one less for a long time and at the end he beat with a scare by 3 to 2, although River knows what he plays and Boca does not. But the death of dear Mauro Viale changed everything. RIP ”.
