The land adjacent to the Turkish mosque in Albertville (Savoy) for the moment only looks like a vast plot covered with tall grass and gravel.
But it is here that could see the light of day, in a few years, the future Muslim private school of the Islamic Confederation Millî Görüs (CIMG), an association accused of being funded by the Turkish state and including one of the mosques under construction in Strasbourg, and subsidized by the EELV town hall, has created controversy in recent weeks.

In Albertville, a town of 20,000 inhabitants, the Islamic private school project started a legal battle several months ago, the last act of which was played out in early April.
While the mayor refused to issue the building permit, the administrative court of Grenoble ruled in favor of the association, judging insufficient the arguments of the town hall, which justified its refusal by the limited number of parking spaces on the outskirts of the future school.
