The number of Coronavirus infections in Germany has exceeded the 3 million mark, according to the Robert Koch Institute for Infectious Diseases.
The institute said that the total number of injuries rose to 3011513 after 13245 were recorded, and deaths to 78,452.
The national casualty rate as a proportion of the population in the last seven days was 136.4 per 100,000 people.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel indicated in remarks to MPs from her conservative party over the weekend that she prefers to impose strict isolation measures nationwide for a short period in order to control the third wave of the epidemic.
