Political miracles rarely occur.

It is possible that in the fifth, or ninth or 21st elections, Netanyahu will suddenly have 61 MKs who support him. But a journalist, like any citizen, has nothing but what his eyes see.

And what the eyes see is that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the esteemed leader who launched Israel to the forefront of the world, who brought it peace, who upgraded its economy, who kept it safe and rescued it from a plague, is unable to gain the Knesset's confidence in four elections.

This is the political reality, good or bad, justified or distorted, decent or cruel.

It hurts the heart, especially for people like me who accompanied Netanyahu closely.

But as much as a person can predict the future, this reality will not change.

The real politics is that Netanyahu is the only public figure who, if he moves slightly from his current position, will be able to form a government in Israel.

If Bennett or Saar, or Lieberman, or Lapid, or Michaeli, or Smutrich, leave, a government will not yet be formed, because no party will change its position regarding it.

On the other hand, if Netanyahu is flexible, it will be possible to form a government immediately.

It may not be fair or fair but that is the situation.

After two years of terrible dizziness, the only way to form a government in Israel is to give up Netanyahu.

The ideas are circulating in the air.

Another senior Likud official will replace him.

Cake rotation in law and other guarantees.

It is not the details that matter but the principle.

Without Netanyahu's willingness to loosen the plug, no government will be formed in the near or distant future.

It is certain that a national government will not be formed, which will bring about the reforms in the judicial system, will take care of settlement and in general the unification of the values of Netanyahu and his voters.

Why is there no other government?

Because the government that relies on pro-terror parties - no matter who heads it - has no majority in the Knesset.

There are enough people in the building like Haim Katz, Ayelet Shaked, Meir Porush, Zeev Elkin and others, with a backbone of values that will not allow it. (And a word about the essence of the matter - did we really go crazy on Memorial Day to form a government with the right to kill our soldiers and children? !).

Defectors will not appear either.

In four systems over two years no one passed camp.

Anyone who claims that this will happen this time needs to prove it.

Is there another route to government?

If Netanyahu has a rabbit, a magic, a trick or a stick - please show us the 61 fingers.

I wish.

I the little one do not see them.

I have personally accompanied Netanyahu for 25 years.

In the 1996 election I stood at the intersections with his photos.

As a journalist, since returning to the presidency in 2009, when everyone was talking about 'political isolation', I have written that Israel is flourishing.

When they mocked his connections with Putin, I claimed their praise.

When his speeches were defamed in Congress, I spoke of their greatness.

When he gave up the inspection gates on the Temple Mount I justified his retreat.

And when he visited dozens of beers around the world - to the mockery or disregard of most of the media - I stood and described its power.

He knows it.

So I do not need sermons.

The problem is different and it is difficult.

Netanyahu does not have a majority.

And as long as we are in a democracy this is the tier required for running the country.

Ha and nothing more.

Therefore, on the eve of Israel's 73rd birthday, the country to which he dedicated his life, Netanyahu should be asked to do one more thing.

For her sake.

for his sake.

For us.
