In the midst of the shock over the death of Mauro Viale, his colleague Rodolfo Barili announced on Twitter that he was infected with the coronavirus.
"We all know that, despite taking care of ourselves, it can happen to us. And it happened to me", were the first words that the Telefe host wrote.
And he added: "Swabbing through, after isolating myself for being close contact of a confirmed case, the result of my test says COVID detectable."
"He played. Take care. Take care of yourselves. I hope I get through it well," closed the journalist, who hours before had also lamented Viale's surprise departure.
"The death of Mauro Viale is incredible. Huge hug @JonatanViale to you and your whole family in this moment of enormous pain," he had tweeted.
