Russia announced today the restriction of regular and casual air traffic with Turkey from the fifteenth of this month until the first of next June, due to the outbreak of the Corona virus.
Sputnik news agency quoted Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova as saying in a statement, "The headquarters of anti-Corona virus operations in Russia has taken a decision to restrict regular and casual air traffic from Russian international airports to Turkish airports and vice versa, from the fifteenth of this month until the first of next June." Noting that the main task of her country's government is to maintain the health of Russian citizens and the stability of the Corona infection situation.
"We advise tour operators to stop trade in tourism products from Russia to Turkey during this period," Gulikova added.
