The United States was not involved in the incident at the uranium enrichment facility in Natanz, Iran, a senior Biden administration official told Walla Walla today (Monday)!
"We have nothing to add to the speculation about the circumstances of the incident," he noted, amid reports of Israeli responsibility for the sabotage of the nuclear facility.
At the same time, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
In a joint statement after the conversation, Netanyahu emphasized the Iranian threat, and made it clear that Israel would continue to defend itself.
"Our cooperation is critical to tackling threats in the region. In the Middle East, there is no greater and more urgent threat than Iran. They continue to support terrorism, have not given up trying to obtain nuclear weapons and continue to call for the destruction of Israel and are working to do so."
"We both agree that Iran must not have nuclear weapons, and I will never allow Iran to acquire the ability to produce nuclear weapons," he said.
"We will continue to act against Iranian aggression in the region. When we tell everyone no more on Holocaust Day - we mean it."
