Method for cleaning the microwave (carolina.mccauley)

There is nothing more daunting than cleaning the microwave, especially when it is filled with sticky and hard-to-remove food stains.

A resident of Australia decided to help you deal with the weekly cleaning of the microwave and offered a tip that will polish your device in just 7 minutes - and it does not require any effort and no use of dedicated cleaning products.

In fact, everything you need is already in your kitchen.

Carolina McCauley, a Perth resident, is a cleaning expert who gives tips on the subject to her 380 followers on Instagram.

She claims that all you need to clean the microwave is just dish soap, water, lemon juice and a sponge.

"This is the best cleaning trick for my microwave, using zero cleaning products," she wrote alongside the video she posted on Instagram.

In the video, Carolina is seen taking a bowl, pouring in two glasses of water, one tablespoon of dish soap, a glass of lemon juice - and stirring.

She puts the bowl in the microwave and heats it for 5 minutes.

"The steam will break down all the sticky dirt in your microwave," she says.

After heating, wipe the inside with a wet and warm sponge - and easily all the dirt and grime went down.

The thousands who saw the video said they liked the idea and the fact that there is no need to use complex and toxic chemicals.

"I tried it and it works like magic," one viewer wrote and another added, "I'll try it on my super disgusting microwave later in the day."

Others suggested another method - cut a lemon in half, heat it for 30 seconds and rub the inside of the microwave with it.

Another wrote: "I just put some lemon and water for two minutes in the microwave and boom. Not even two glasses of water, maybe half a cup. I also use the same water to clean all my other appliances. They are full of shine."
