The Knoxville Police Department (KPD) in Tennessee said multiple agencies are at the scene of a shooting at Austin-East Magnet High School.
Multiple shooting victims have been reported, the KPD said in a tweet, including one of its police officers.
Special agents from the Nashville Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) arrived at the scene of the shooting, the agency tweeted.
The investigation is "active," police said.
The Knox County Sheriff's Office said there is "no active threat" at Austin-East High School, according to CNN affiliate WVLT.
Knox County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Kimberly Glenn said someone from the department is heading to the hospital to see the injured police officer, WVLT reported.
A reunification site was set up on the baseball field behind the school, police said in another tweet.

"We are gathering information on this tragic situation and will provide additional information as soon as possible," said Bob Thomas, superintendent of Knox County Schools, in a tweet.
"The school building has been secured and the students who were not involved in the incident have been released to their families."
