Residents of Tiberias, 21 and 22, and a 28-year-old resident of Kfar Yona were charged last night (Sunday) with attempting to kidnap a person, while impersonating police officers and robbing a luxury vehicle.
The indictment unfolds a sequence of events, during which the three tried to kidnap a driver of a luxury car after they pretended to be police officers, and even to steal the vehicle itself - a Porsche.
About two and a half weeks ago, the three set up a checkpoint at the exit from the industrial area in the Hefer Valley, pretending to be police officers.
At one point, the driver of the luxury car arrived, and they ordered him to stop.
When he followed their instructions they tried to push him into the back seat of his vehicle, using force.
The man, realizing that this was an abduction attempt, managed to escape from them, shouting for help "trying to abduct me".

Failing that, the three apparently dumped the man, stole his vehicle and fled to a car park in a building in Kfar Yona, where one of the defendants lives.
Police officers who arrived at the scene began investigating the circumstances of the incident, and soon managed to locate the stolen vehicle and arrested two of the defendants.
The third defendant was arrested a few days later.
Their detention was extended from time to time and the State Attorney's Office submitted a request for their detention until the end of the legal proceedings against them.
