A work of art on the Gilching market square disappears - but should come again.

Gilching - The wooden sculpture by the artist Antonio Fiengo from Cecina on the Gilching market square is in need of renovation and is therefore being dismantled. According to the municipality on Monday, the area was cordoned off because there was a risk that loose pieces of wood that had been detached from the weather could fall. “The fastenings of the wooden ball to the metal structure have to be partially renewed or repaired. The administration is looking for a specialist company for this ”, communicated the town hall further. When the sculpture can be put up again is open. The aim is to "preserve the sculpture in any case, to professionally prepare it so that it can be set up again". The artwork was last renovated four years ago.
