Instead of getting lost in discussions about the ailing villa on Krapfberg, the municipal council and administration should concentrate on the development of the whole, especially the station area.
This is what the citizens' initiative “Zukunft Gauting” demands.

But instead of "getting lost in the small and small" and discussing "isolated individual topics according to the current situation", the local council should implement the existing plans for the station area, Albath reminded of the award-winning design "Gautinger Bürgerbahnhof" as part of the integrated urban development concept.
It was not for nothing that the initiative chose the almost completed Sontowski construction site at the train station as the meeting point.
Club chairman Albath and his vice-president Markus Proksch are of the opinion that the political debate about the municipal building Krapfbert 5, which has been run down for decades and which is now on the agenda of the building committee, only divides the place - like the petition of "Gauting aktiv" on the one hand and “Zukunft Gauting” on the other hand.
As reported, the referendum of 2018 was about the amount of building rights on the former primary school area near the train station.
With 76.7 percent, the citizens voted in favor of the higher development of the investor Sontowski, which was favored by the majority of the council.
In September the three complexes with Edeka, dm drugstore and 52 new rental apartments in the future “KARLs” will be ready for occupancy.
“A good opportunity to present Gauting's future plan at a community festival,” said Albath.
Because especially in the Corona crisis, retailers were hoping for the new high-frequency generators.
The train station hotel across from Simon was already for sale.
The citizens' initiative “Zukunft Gauting” therefore appeals to the mayor and councilors to “focus on the central tasks”, namely “local development after Corona”.
When the residential business center "KARLs" is finished, the renovation of the "Bürgerbahnhof" and the modernization of the entire area would be "all the more urgent".
A draft for a traffic-calmed station square with the preservation of the historic Art Nouveau station is already available.
For the future plan, Gauting needed an “honest cash drop as a basis,” demanded Albath.
So it is clear how much scope there is for voluntary tasks such as Bosco or the outdoor pool.
“In the debate about the villa, it is important that the municipality first determines the value of the property, depending on the building law.” Because Gauting “has to mobilize unused assets in order to be able to do justice to his tasks”.
