On Friday someone started a fire in the vacant sanatorium, on Saturday a group of curious people roamed the area.
Abandoned clinic in Ambach: floor lamp catches fire
It was around 2 p.m. on Friday when callers reported to the police that there was smoking in the vacant clinic on Simetsbergweg in Ambach.
When the patrol arrived, it turned out that a floor lamp had caught fire in the building.
The callers had already put out the fire.
The fire brigade, which had arrived with several fire engines, no longer had to intervene.
The amount of property damage cannot be quantified at the moment, the police said.
She has started an arson investigation and is currently following several witness references.

"Lost Place": Several people gain access to the abandoned clinic in Ambach
On Saturday around 5.30 p.m., an attentive woman from Münsingen (40) informed the police that several people had illegally gained access to the former sanatorium.
Patrols from the Weilheim traffic police and the Geretsried and Wolfratshausen inspections moved to Ambach.
The officers found eight people between the ages of 20 and 32 in three groups on the former clinic site.
Two groups had apparently only entered the site out of curiosity, while a third was caught preparing for a special photo shoot.
All people were sent off and had to answer for trespassing at a "lost place".
