A new initiative wants to prevent the radio mast location in Mauggen.

She collects signatures for a referendum.

Bockhorn - You are by no means against mobile communications in general, nor would you defend yourself against a radio mast.

But they reject the previously planned location on the site of the Erding-Ost water supply association (WZV) in Mauggen, as was recently decided by the Bockhorn municipal council.

Instead, a new initiative is now collecting signatures from the citizens of the community in order to get a referendum for another location.

And that under the motto: "Mast in the forest instead of mast forest".

This other location, which the three speakers Klaus Adelsperger (Neumauggen), Andreas Burgmair (Bockhorn) and Martin Mair (Mauggen) offer instead on behalf of some other comrades-in-arms, is in a forest area between Mauggen and Kirchasch.

"Three property owners have already offered us possible land for a radio mast there," explains Adelsperger.

In an interview with our newspaper, he further explains that this location offers two major advantages over the previously designated one in the Mauggen industrial park: the townscape of Bockhorn is not spoiled by a 50-meter-high mast, and a mast at the other location could add up to 1000 Residents in the villages of Kirchasch, Polzing, Breitasch, Englpolding and Maierklopfen are supplied with mobile communications.

"Because the previous report only looks at the Bockhorn and Mauggen area," says Martin Mair, "but we wanted to find a place from which as many parts of the community as possible can be well supplied."

And the immission pollution for the residents of Bockhorn and Mauggen is even slightly lower thanks to the location they propose.

With this message, the three initiators and their deputies Georg Mesner (Mauggen), Anja Schreiber and Peter Kaswurm (both Bockhorn) want to advertise for signatures.

Mesner recently denied attacks on his person, saying that he had actively offered Telekom the Mauggen location during his time as head of WZV (we reported).

The initiators do not understand why a radio mast should be so high (30 meters) and so close to a building.

Burgmair: “So far, when I went home, I always saw the beautiful church tower as a distinguishing feature of our place.

I find it hard to believe that an ugly and huge radio mast should now determine the optics. "

In order to ultimately be able to reach a referendum, ten percent of the signatures of those eligible to vote in the community are required.

If these 400 or so signatures come together, they are examined in a so-called admissibility test in accordance with the Bavarian municipal code.

Age, addresses and permanent residence must then be confirmed.

If all the criteria are in order, there is a referendum.

Those eligible to vote could then cast their votes - either for the previously proposed location in the Mauggen industrial park or for the new proposal.

The latter is not really new either, it was also examined by the specialist office “Funktechanalyse” from Munich.

The opinion of the experts: “Mauggen, Kirchasch and Polzing are covered with an optimal to stable level.

Bockhorn, Breitasch, Englpolding, Unterstrogn, Oberstrogn and Emling are due to distance and partly due to shading with significant restrictions in the frequency range of the capacity supply.

There are deadweight effects in terms of easier wide supply, for example for Maierklopfen and over-renting, but also the visible areas around Oberstrogn and Breitasch ”.

As is well known, Telekom has already spoken out against the location in the forest.

The supply target is loud Bockhorn and Mauggen.

The alternatives are "not suitable due to the great distance and limited usability".
