An 84-year-old woman living alone with a pair of children in Li Fu Building, Shunli Village, Sau Mau Ping, a 59-year-old son who visited her home yesterday evening (13) revealed that she had fallen dead in her home and had injuries to the back of her head. The house was in chaos. The police suspected that there was an inside story and handed over to the Crime Squad to take over the investigation.
At about 1 am today (14th), when the police explained the facts of the case, the deceased had been dead for about 9 to 15 hours. There was a 3 by 3 cm scratch on the back of the head. Some furniture and sundries were suspected to have been thrown out, but there was no property loss. The deceased The body has not been moved, and the deceased suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure, so the cause of death has not been determined yet.
The case is now classified as a "corpse found" process, and the incident will be investigated in the direction of physical condition, mentality, finances, and grievances.
The deceased woman in the case was surnamed Yang (84 years old) and lived alone in a unit in Lifu Building, Shunli Village; it is reported that she has a pair of children.
Detective Chief Inspector Ma Lianhao of Xiumoping Police District pointed out that at about 5:30 last evening, when his son He (58 years old) visited the door, no one answered the door because he only had a wooden door key and no iron gate key, so he found it. The locksmith assisted in opening the iron gate and then opened the wooden door on his own. It was revealed that the mother had passed out in the bathroom, and he immediately called the police. Unfortunately, the ambulancemen rushed to confirm that the victim was obviously dead.
Ma Lianhao said that after preliminary observation by the police, they found that the unit involved in the case was in a mess. It is suspected that some of the furniture and debris in the house were littered. However, other furniture and property were intact and there were no traces of ransacking. The iron gates and wooden doors were also intact. No prying.
After preliminary examination by forensic doctors, the deceased died for about 9 to 15 hours. There were 3 by 3 cm abrasions on the back of the head, and a pool of blood stains remained after the hair. However, it is initially believed that the abrasions were not caused by sharp objects, and the body has not been moved.
It is understood that the deceased was suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure. The police have not yet been able to determine the cause of his death at this stage. An autopsy will be conducted later to further determine the cause of death.
