Update from April 13, 12:02 p.m.:

The Federal Government's

paper of

measures obviously aims strongly to legally and legally prohibit meetings of groups with a seven-day incidence of 100 or more.

A so-called Paragraph 28b is to be newly created in the Infection Protection Act.

According to the German Press Agency (dpa), the wording of this would be: “Private gatherings in public or private spaces are only permitted if at most members of a household and one other person including their children up to the age of 14 take part in them . "

Again and again there had recently been pictures from big cities showing large gatherings of people in the open air.

For example on rivers like the Isar in Munich.

Scientists point out that the risk of infection in the open air is significantly lower, but the federal government now apparently wants to limit meetings in public spaces again.

It is currently completely unclear whether this will come through the Bundestag.

Previously, further details on the planned amendment to the Infection Protection Act had already been leaked: If the seven-day incidence is over 100 on three consecutive days, a night curfew between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. is binding.

This is criticized by the Greens, the FDP and the AfD, all of which have to agree in the Bundestag.

Openings of fitness studios, leisure facilities and restaurants are not planned above an incidence of 100.

Sport should only be allowed as an individual sport.

Professional sport should be excluded, but this must then continue to take place without spectators.

Bavaria's corona numbers are rising - Söder cabinet meets: does his own minister force him to rethink?

First report from April 13th, 9.12 a.m.:

Munich - The number of new corona infections in Bavaria continues to rise.

Within one day, the health authorities reported 1868 new infections and 48 deaths related to the virus to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI *).

On Tuesday, only seven independent cities and districts were below the incidence value of 100. According to the RKI, the seven-day incidence * across Bavaria was 159.7.

The city of Hof is still the nationwide leader (560.8).

The district of Hof follows in third place with 450.4, the district of Dingolfing-Landau (345.5) in fifth.

Corona in Bavaria: Söder cabinet meets - press conference announced

The Bavarian Council of Ministers meets in the morning (10 a.m.) - this time too, Prime Minister Markus Söder's cabinet will primarily have to deal with Corona.

Following the meeting, Health Minister Klaus Holetschek (CSU *), Education Minister Michael Piazolo (Free Voters) and State Chancellor Florian Herrmann (CSU) will go public.

Headwind for Söder from Aiwanger?

Piazolo reports on the situation in schools

One of the topics will be how the Bavarian attitude towards the planned amendment to the Federal Infection Protection Act is.

Economics Minister Hubert Aiwanger (Free Voters) had already announced headwinds * for the course of CSU boss Söder that he wanted to take a tougher pace with the so-called emergency brake at the federal level.

It was initially unclear whether the government would extend the Bavarian measures regulation, which expires next Sunday, regardless of the discussions at the federal level.

Education Minister Piazolo will give a report at the cabinet meeting on how the complex situation in Bavaria's schools is after the Easter break.
