The Ramadan Charity Market, which was launched today in the old fairground in Damascus, offered a wide variety of food, supplies and clothing at low prices that reached the cost price.

During his tour in the market, the Sanaa correspondent monitored a significant decrease in prices, as the price of a kilo of sugar was set at 1800 Syrian pounds and pasta at 3000 pounds, and the price of a kilo of short Egyptian rice ranged between 2000 and 2500 pounds, and a kilogram of Kabsa rice was set at 3000 pounds, bulgur of all kinds at 1650 pounds, and chickpeas at 2400. Lira and beans 2,350 liras and split lentils 2,450 liras

As for oils and obesity, the price of a liter of olive oil was set at 12,450 pounds and a liter of sunflower oil was set at 7,900 pounds, the price of 500 grams of vegetable ghee was 5,000 pounds, and the price of 500 grams of animal ghee was 10,500 pounds.

And by moving to the wing of the Syrian Trade Establishment, a significant decrease in the prices of meat and vegetables was observed, as a kilogram of lamb meat was recorded as a slash of 19600 pounds and a covering of 16,500 pounds and veal 16,500 for a kilo of slices and 11,000 for a kilo of slices. A pin is 7,000 liras and a casta is 7,400 liras.

The prices of vegetables and fruits witnessed a clear decline, as the price of a kilo of tomatoes reached 650 pounds, cucumbers 700 pounds, peppers 2700 pounds, beans 800 pounds, peas 1500 pounds, apples 1500 pounds, oranges 1000 pounds and carrots 750 pounds.

Today, the activities of the "Ramadan Charitable Market" which is being held by the Ministry of Awqaf in cooperation with Damascus Governorate and the Chambers of Industry and Commerce in Damascus and its countryside were launched in the old fairs city in Damascus, with the participation of about 200 companies distributed in 250 pavilions free of charge for owners of companies and economic events.
